REER

La cotisation à un REER (régime enregistré d’épargne-retraite) vous permettra de prévoir et de vous assurer une retraite confortable. En plus de réduire le revenu imposable durant la vie active (au travail), le REER peut être utiliser pour plusieurs projets tout au long de votre vie. À titre d’exemple le RAP (régime d’accès à la propriété) ou le REP (régime de l’éducation permanente) sont possible grâce à cotisation à des REER.

Plus un individu investi à un jeune âge dans ses REER, plus sa marge de manoeuvre pour atteindre ses objectifs de retraite sera grande.

CRI

Le compte de retraite immobilisé est en fait un REER particulier vous permettant de transférer des sommes provenant de votre régime de retraite d’un employeur. Comparativement au REER, le CRI ne peut être décaissé de façon autonome.

Plusieurs praticularités et situations précises sont nécessaires à la mise en oeuvre d’un CRI. À titre d’exemple, tous les CRI doivent être transférés en FRV avant la fin de l’année ou vous atteignez l’âge de 71 ans.
